The Healthy Brain - The brain is a complex, hard-working organ. It is also a very hungry organ, using nutrients at ten times the rate of any other organ, so if it's to function well, it needs careful feeding. The food needs of the brain include glucose for brain energy as well as the vitamins, minerals, essential fats and amino acids - the indispensable elements from diet without which we cannot survive.
