Make Your End of Life Plans

December 2nd, 1:00-3:00 pm

Most Canadians say they want to die at home, but most do not. Dr. Griffin and Dr. Wintemute will discuss this discrepancy, and what we can do better as a society to allow people more self-determination in this regard. They will draw on the medical literature, their own quality improvement projects, and their experiences helping patients and families navigate their final months, weeks and days.

The end of life is – well – part of life. Dr. Griffin and Dr. Wintemute will discuss opportunities that we have to make better plans and to realize them, starting with more meaningful conversations with our loved ones and our health care providers.
